Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026  ·  Revision 02-A

This Privacy Policy describes how Ulbak ("we", "the editorial team", "the archive") collects, uses, and handles personal information submitted through the ulbak.info website. This policy applies to all visitors and correspondents who interact with the site.

Ulbak is operated from 55 Irving Place, New York, NY 10003, United States. Inquiries relating to this policy may be directed to [email protected].

01

Information We Collect

The site collects information in three ways: directly submitted information (contact form), automatically collected technical data (server logs, cookies), and information you provide in the course of email correspondence.

Directly submitted information includes your name, email address, and the content of any message you submit through the contact form on contact.php. If you provide a phone number or specify a subject, that information is also collected.

Automatically collected data includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited on this site, time and date of visit, and time spent on each page. This data is collected by our hosting provider's server logging systems and is retained for up to 90 days.

Cookie data is collected as described in our Cookie Policy. You may manage cookie preferences at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the site footer.

02

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to respond to your inquiry. The editorial team uses the information to understand the nature of your request, direct it to the appropriate team member, and compose a personalised response.

Automatically collected server log data is used for site administration, security monitoring, and aggregate traffic analysis. The editorial team reviews aggregate traffic patterns — total page views, geographic distribution, most-visited pages — to inform decisions about archive content and site structure. Individual log entries are not reviewed except when investigating a security incident.

We do not use personal information for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

03

Data Retention

Contact form submissions and email correspondence are retained for the duration of the active correspondence period plus 12 months. After this period, correspondence records are deleted from our systems unless there is a specific operational reason to retain them.

Server log data is retained for up to 90 days, after which it is automatically purged by the hosting provider's log rotation system.

Cookie data retention periods are specified in the Cookie Policy. Functional cookies are session-scoped and expire when the browser session ends. Analytics cookies, when accepted, are retained for the periods specified by the analytics platform in use.

04

Third-Party Services

The site uses third-party services that may collect information as part of their standard operation. These include:

  • Google Fonts — used to serve typography assets. Google's servers receive a request when the page loads. Google's privacy policy governs that data: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Maps — an embedded map is present on the contact page. Interaction with the map is governed by Google's privacy policy. The map is loaded from Google's servers when the contact page is visited.
  • CDN-delivered libraries — JavaScript and CSS libraries are loaded from content distribution networks (jsDelivr, cdnjs, unpkg). These networks may log requests as part of their standard operation. No personal data is intentionally transmitted to these services beyond the standard HTTP request data (IP address, browser type, referrer).

We do not embed social media tracking pixels, advertising network scripts, or affiliate tracking code on any page of this site.

05

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your personal information from our records where no legal obligation to retain it exists.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] with a description of your request. We will respond within 30 days. Identity verification may be required before actioning certain requests.

You may withdraw consent to cookie placement at any time by accessing Cookie Settings from the site footer. Withdrawal of cookie consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior data collection.

06

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. All data transmitted between your browser and the server is encrypted in transit. We maintain reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data held in our correspondence systems.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information you submit. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with applicable law.

07

Changes to This Policy

This policy is reviewed annually and updated when our data practices change materially. The revision number and last-updated date at the top of this page reflect the current version. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Questions about this policy may be directed to [email protected] or submitted through the contact form.
